I love it. I will keep this for my apathetic days.
The Charlie Chaplin movie was "The Great Dictator" not "The Little Dictator"
Father-in-Law
the kirsten dunst one is bring it on.
the al pacino one is any given sunday.
and the sean connery one is The Untouchables.
'Bring it On'
'Network' not 'Broadcast News'
That short clip before 'Miracle' is 'Swingers' I believe.
Sean Connery film is 'The Untouchables'
The one with Bruce Campbell (right after The Untouchables) is Army of Darkness

Thanks for watching, and congrats on identifying almost everything! I'm a huge geek, obviously, and I'm glad that other geeks are geeking out over this.
As the Introverted One noticed, you left out Swingers between Troy and Miracle. (Curiously enough, that's the last clip I added, so maybe great minds think alike?)
The one you're not sure about (the man screaming "Who's with me?!") is Army of Darkness. That's Bruce Campbell rallying the troops against the Deadites.
Not surprised you had trouble with the clip before Spartacus. That's from Meatballs - the campers getting pumped to a rousing chant of "It just doesn't matter!"
And the final clip is actually Rocky TWO. In the first movie, he runs up the steps alone. In the second one, he's accompanied by a whole mess of children, which is so gloriously stupid it just had to be the last word.
Take care!

How very appropriate that Matt would get to fill in the blank on "Army of Darkness" :-)
I cried at my desk.
Thanks for that.
I'm still pretty happy with getting 47 out of 57 clips (55 movies) right off the top of my head, no googling.
Funny thing is i've only actually seen 27 of the movies!
The rest are just so iconic and so often played that i knew them from other clips i've seen. Gives me a good list of movies to throw in Netflix though. Thanks for pointing out the holes in my viewing history :-)
Are you positive that the first clip is from "The Muppet Movie"? I'm almost sure it belongs to "The Muppets Take Manhattan" or "The Great Muppet Caper."
It's "The Great Muppet Caper". And I think "Superman" is actually "Superman II" (where he brings the flag back to the top of the white house at the end.
I don't think the last cut is Rocky 2, (The rematch with Apollo Creed) I believe it is Rocky Balboa.(The latest Rocky film) Since the age of Stallone is definitely advanced. I think the shot actually comes from outside of his restaurant. Here is the link to the trailer and you can pretty much match things up.

Wasn't Morpheus' big speech from Matrix Reloaded, not Matrix Revolutions?
Been awhile since I've seen either film, but I do remember "Reloaded" having a big speech in it.
The Matrix speech is from The matrix reloaded, because it comes when the Nebuchadnezzar first comes to Zion which happens in the 2nd movie, i remember cause right after this speech is when they have the giant rave in the great hall where apparently everyone who still lives in Zion looks Haitian or Jamaican and Neo/Trinity sneak of to have sex, and the last clip from rocky is not from Rocky 6, is def Rocky 2. He got it right, you can tell by just looking at his hair.
Thank you so muchI went to overthinkit.com and there was not a list of the movies, like yahoo.com said there would be. I'm so relieved you had it - a few of those were making me CRAZY that I didn't know them. Might use this as a checklist to watch over Christmas break.

the Tim Allen movie is Galaxy Quest. "Never give up, never surrender!"
"By Grabthar's hammer, I will avenge you."
Thanks for your help with identifying them! I had no idea Christian Bale was in Newsies!
